January Finish

It is finished.  Quilted, bound and ready to snuggle.  I started this quilt at a retreat in March 2013.  I have worked on it at 2 Other retreats.  So glad I decided to make it my January project.  Having  a deadline kept me working away at it.  I finished the binding this morning.  My dh was unwilling to help with outdoor  pictures this morning.  So these indoors pictures with  the sun streaming through  the  windows  will  do for now.

Smokey River.  My January  finish   for A Lovely Year of Finishes with Melissa and Shanna.

The day has  turned gray and  we are expecting snow.  3 to 6 inches...6 to 12 inches...10 to 20 inches.  The predictions keep increasing.  That is ok.  I have food in the freezer and plenty of quilt projects to keep me busy.  I can get a start on my February project.

2015 First Quarter Finish Goals

In December 2013, I finished 4 quilts.  January  2014 I posted my first blog post and planned to continue with that momentum to finish several projects.

I did not post again and I did not have any finishes in 2014.  Is there a correlation?   (And I gained 20 pounds).

I know I need accountability  to fight my weight battle.  And I hope  this blog and these finish links will help me focus and enjoy completing   projects.

So here is the plan:

A.

First quarter finish goals.

Smokey river.  Complete quilting and bind.

San Antonio  tree.  Complete quilting and bind.

Red licorice.  Complete top, quilt and bind.

This is  an ambitious  goal for me.  I am linking this to 2015 Finish Along.

My January finish goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes:

C.

And I will continue to work on my Farmers wife.  If I
complete a block a week, that would be 52 blocks for the year.  With the 36 Blocks I have completed, I would have a total of  88 Blocks completed and only 23 To go to total 111.  May do 2 some weeks and take as my retreats project.

I best get busy.
